XVI: The Lost Roman Legion

The Romans, masters of meticulous recordkeeping in all things, have left us perplexed with the enigmatic vanishing of Legio IX Hispana, a legion of the Imperial Roman Army. 

This legion, whose origins are shrouded in the mists of history, played a formidable role in Caesar's Gallic Wars, leaving an indelible mark. Yet, after a documented existence spanning until AD 109, it inexplicably vanished from the annals of our empire.
